Police Hope to ID Baby Formula Shoplifter

East Greenwich police are looking for a man who allegedly stole numerous cans of baby formula from the CVS at 1285 South County Trail.

Police said the suspect hit the CVS in January and again last week.

Clearly, no one condones theft but when someone is stealing baby formula its different than if it were a six pack...or someone's wallet.

Agreed, theft is terrible but this is baby food. I'm at a loss for words. Should he be a criminal or a parent trying anything they can to feed their baby.

Unfortunately, baby formula isn't always used to feed infants: it's also been used to cut illegal drugs such as heroin and cocaine. I'm not saying this is the case with this scenario, but just some food for thought. Not really educated in the illegal drug market but that's surprising! Puts a new twist on the scenario.
