Police Log: Ex Troubles

Information about the following incidents was supplied by the East Greenwich Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Dec. 16

12:31 p.m. – An East Greenwich woman told police her husband, whom she is divorcing, pushed into her during an argument at their house. She said she was not injured and nothing at the house was broken. The house belongs to both husband and wife, so police said they could not issue a no-trespass order but she could put in for a restraining order.

1:18 p.m. – A Chestnut Drive resident was evicted from her house by order of a judge and police arrived to assist the bank representative in charge of the eviction. The resident initially said she did not have to leave, but after seeing the judge’s order, she appeared ready to comply so police left.

Tuesday, Dec. 17

10:45 a.m. – A town employee told police someone had been dumping illegally behind the American Legion hall at 1016 Main Street.

Wednesday, Dec. 18

1:15 p.m. – The manager of Cumberland Farms on South County Trail told police she wanted them to issue a no-trespass order to the ex-boyfriend of an employee. The manager said the ex-boyfriend was coming in and arguing with the employee. Police went to the man’s North Kingstown residence, accompanied by NKPD. At the residence, the ex-boyfriend told them he had consumed a number of pills. Police called rescue. The man signed the no-trespass order before being taken to the hospital.

8:10 p.m. – A Spring Valley Drive resident told police the girlfriend of her ex-boyfriend had sent a number of threatening text messages. Police spoke with the boyfriend, who said his girlfriend would not call the Spring Valley Drive resident again.

Thursday, Dec. 19

11:47 p.m. – Police arrested Allison Marie Luisi, 23, of Paula Drive, North Kingstown, for driving while intoxicated and refusing to take a chemical breath test, after she was involved in a car accident at Main and Spring streets. Luisi said she’d been at an office holiday party. After failing the field sobriety tests, Luisi was taken into custody. At the station, she refused the breath test. After processing, she was given two court summonses and released to a family member.
