A 51 East Greenwich man and his wife told police that they were walking their leashed dog when another dog swimming in the pond noticed it, swam to shore and began mounting their dog.

The man told police he pushed the free-roaming dog, whose owner, identified by police as a 56-year-old West Greenwich man, reportedly became upset by his dog being pushed.

The argument includes a shove, but nobody wanted to press charges and police cleared the scene.

Police noted the unleashed dog owner allegedly was argumentative and said he felt he didn’t need to leash his dog and had received many leash law violations in the past.

DUI
East Greenwich Police charged Jordan L. Dionne, 29, of 630 Oaklawn Ave., Cranston, with driving under the influence, and refusing a chemical test July 10 after she was stopped for speeding 60 mph in a 35 mph zone.

Police said she was clocked on Division Street near Kenyon Avenue and once stopped, she allegedly smelled like alcohol, telling officers that she had a couple of beers.

She then failed a field sobriety and was taken into custody without incident.

In addition to the DUI charge, she issued a Rhode Island Traffic Tribunal summons for refusing a chemical test.

VANDALISM
A Main Street resident told police on July 10 that someone ripped out an air conditioner and knocked over a table saw at his residence.

The incident occurred between 2 and 4 p.m., the resident reported, and police are investigating.

GENERATOR STOLEN
A Lenihan Lane resident told police on July 11 that someone stole his portable generator valued at $900 from his garage.

Police said the resident told him he noticed the generator was gone when he was cleaning.

Police are investigating.

DISORDERLY
Police charged Albert Turner Jr., 52, of 157 Main St., with disorderly conduct July 12 after he allegedly charged at a woman living in the same apartment building while carrying a cooler and telling her he was going to kill her.

Police said the woman defended herself as Turner ran towards her with the cooler, which caused a laceration to her face.

Police said Turner threw a rock and a plant at the woman’s door before she opened it.

Turner was charged and released with a summons to appear in Third Division District Court on July 25.

FRAUD
A First Avenue woman told police on July 13 that someone used her Bank of America card to make charges of $309 at LordandTaylor.com.

The woman told police the order was placed on July 10 and did not shift. Both the bank and the store were notified and police documented the incident.
