1:31 p.m. – A Warwick woman told police her purse went missing during a visit to see her mother at St. Elizabeth Home. She said she thought she’d placed on her mother’s bed during the visit and that she’d left the room at one point to talk to the head nurse down the hall. When she was ready to leave, she couldn’t find her purse. She said she had around $145 and 30 Euros in the purse, a small black shoulder bag, as well as numerous credit cards and her social security card. Police checked surveillance video of the entrance and confirmed that the woman did indeed enter the building with the purse on her shoulder. An employee called later to say the purse had been found hanging on a handle of the mother’s wheelchair.

2:09 p.m. – An EG resident told police she’d entrusted $950 with a friend who lives in Warwick to keep for her but that when she asked for the money back, the friend would only return $300, allegedly telling the woman she’d picked up dinner for the two of them and that was enough. Now, the EG resident said, the Warwick woman wasn’t taking her calls. The EG woman said she wanted to press charges
