Sunday, Oct. 20

12:26 a.m. – Police cited a Warwick man, 33, for possessing marijuana (less than an ounce) after he was pulled over for speeding on First Avenue. Police also found a baggie containing white pills that the man said were Vicodin he’d gotten from a friend. Police confiscated both the marijuana and the pills but did not cite the man for the pills pending identification of the pills. If the pills are indeed a narcotic, police said, they would be contacting him.

8:35 p.m. – A Mawney Street resident told police his car was missing after he allowed his drug dealer to borrow it. The man said he drove from Providence to East Greenwich with the dealer, from whom he told police he had bought crack cocaine. The EG man said he lent the dealer the car in exchange for some free drugs, but the dealer had not returned the car. EG police talked to Providence police, who said they would accompany the EG man to pick up the car if he could give them an address.
