5:30 p.m. – A North Kingstown resident told police she'd been rear-ended by a blue mini van while stopped at the light on Division Street at 1000 Division Street. After the van hit her car, the NK woman said both she and the other driver, a woman, got out to check the damage. They agreed to pull into the parking lot at the Showcase Cinemas to get out of the busy street, but the other driver instead left the scene. She gave police what she thought was the van's license plate number.

Friday, July 26

1:15 p.m. – A custodian at Meadowbrook Farms told police someone had sprayed pink paint all over the outside of the school. Most of the writing was illegible, but there was at least one profanity.

3:45 p.m. – Police arrested Candice Marie Barry, 40, of Harvey Road in Middletown, for leaving the scene of an accident in connection to the hit-and-run outlined above. She had reported to the EG Police Station after the plate number the victim gave to police was traced to her. Barry was given a District Court summons and a Municipal Court summons (for driving too closely behind another car) and released.

10:17 p.m. – Police had a car towed that was parked on Queen Street in a no-parking zone.

10:33 p.m. – Police arrested Pamela Jean Vierling, 57, of Victory Highway in West Greenwich, for driving while intoxicated and refusal to take a blood alcohol test, after she was stopped while speeding southbound on Post Road. An employee of Filippou's on Main Street had called police after seeing Vierling stumble and fall to the ground before getting into her car and driving off. Vierling, who smelled of alcohol, failed a field sobriety test. She was taken into custody. At the station, Vierling refused to take the breath test that would measure her blood alcohol content. Police issued her a district court summons and a citation for the state Traffic Tribunal Court and released.

11:37 p.m. – Police went to a house on Pheasant Drive after Scituate police disbursed a party in that town and reports on Twitter indicated the party was moving to Pheasant Drive. EG police found about 30 cars parked in the vicinity of the house in question but no one would open the door. Police checked the back of the house with no results and noticed several cars leaving by the time they came around to the front again. Police spoke with three different drivers, none of whom appeared to have been drinking. Again, police tried the door, but still no one answered, although police could see curtains moving upstairs. Police ran several of the car license plates and contacted some of those owners. They were unsuccessful in contacting the owner of the house.

9:34 p.m. – Police had a car towed that was parked in a no-parking zone on King Street.

10:16 p.m. – Police arrested Seancory Christopher Donahue, 22, of Wakefield Court in New Britain, Conn., for driving while intoxicated on South County Trail. Police found Donahue after getting a report a car had driven off into the woods. Donahue told police he had fallen asleep at the wheel and had crashed into a utility pole, splitting it in half. Donahue did not smell of alcohol but was extremely lethargic. He told police he'd taken some sleeping pills. He was taken to Kent Hospital for treatment than returned to the EGPD for processing, then taken to the ACI to await the next court session.
