Police Raid Home On Adirondack

The raid at 236 Adirondack Drive took place Friday morning.

East Greenwich Police Chief Tom Coyle confirmed police have raided a house at 236 Adirondack Drive looking for drugs.

The house is owned by Robert and Sharon Campellone.

Residents of the Adirondack neighborhood, off Frenchtown Road, have been complaining to police for several weeks about speeding cars and suspected drug dealing. Around 50 residents met with Chief Coyle at a meeting in May to discuss neighborhood safety.

One resident, who asked to remain anonymous, said Friday morning some children in the neighborhood found syringes earlier this week, which were turned over to police.

EG Patch will update this story as the day continues.

I used to live a few houses sown from this! Guess I got out when the neighborhood was still good!

Really not fair to allow one house to skew your view on a whole neighborhood...still a fine neighborhood.

To the contrary. This neighborhood is comprised of people who truly value the safety and welfare of their families -- and the entire town. While this situation could happen in any neighborhood (ANY neighborhood), it may be unlikely that every neighborhood would band together, and work with police, to bring the situation to closure. Kudos to the EG Police who have been dedicated to this issue, and to folks in the neighborhood who took a stand (led be several outstanding individuals who devoted substantial time and energy).

I commend the EGPD for the coordinated effort and response to valid community complaints. This is probably one of the best and safest neighborhoods in EG and that is because the residents care, watch out for each other and took appropriate action. I went to " RI court connect " and got to all the cases involving this one family. Please let us know the out come of the case. Thanks!

Chalk one up for the good guys. Sadly "Like father, like son's". It's not like no one knew this all along, and way too long. Hopefully this black eye will heal in time, and the community can get back to what we know as the norm.
