Second Suspect Arrested In Frenchtown Break

A warrant for Bruce McKenzie went out yesterday and he was picked up in East Providence today.


East Greenwich police arrested Bruce McKenzie, 23, of Cranston for breaking and entering and conspiracy in connection with a break on Frenchtown Road Monday afternoon.

A warrant for McKenzie went out yesterday after police arrested Trisha M. Newman of Central Falls for conspiracy to commit a breaking and entering.

McKenzie was taken into custody by East Providence police Friday morning and turned over to East Greenwich. He was arraigned at Kent County District Court.

On Monday, the young girl (police said only that she was below age 15) was in the house at the time of the break. The girl barricaded herself upstairs and called 911, keeping in phone contact with police throughout the event.
