Suspended Licenses & Disorderly Conduct

Information about the following incidents was supplied by the East Greenwich Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.


Monday, April 16

10:10 p.m. — Police arrested Mark Jennings, 48, of Linwood Avenue in Providence, on a charge of driving with a suspended license. He was stopped after he was seen by police driving behind Flood Ford, then exiting in a surreptitious manner. A routine check turned up the suspended license. Jennings was issued a summons and released at the scene. His car was towed.

Tuesday, April 17

4:02 p.m. — Police arrested Adelbert Parent, Jr., 49, of Marlborough Street, and Pedro Rosario, 24, of Duke Street, for possessing marijuana after they were seen passing a small plastic baggie in exchange for money in a carport on Marlborough Street. Because it appeared to be a drug transaction, police asked the men what was in the baggie. Parent said, “Marijuana,” at which point both men were taken into custody. Parent said he uses marijuana because of health problems. (The police report made no mention of whether or not Parent had a medical marijuana card.) Both men were taken to the station, where Parent was issued a court summons and released. Rosario had several failure-to-appear counts on his record. He was arraigned in front of a bail commissioner and released on $1,000 personal recognizance.

8:43 p.m. — Police arrested Nathaniel Robertson, 23, of River Farm Drive, for driving with a suspended license after he was stopped for speeding on Adirondack Drive. He was clocked at 41 mph in a 25 mph zone. Robertson said he was returning a debit card to a friend living on Adirondack. Police confiscated the card and left a voicemail with the card’s owner. A routine check turned up Robertson’s suspended license. He was taken into custody, issued a summons and released. His car was towed from the scene.

Friday, April 20

1:45 p.m. — Police arrested Terry Daniel, 33, of Pine River Drive in North Kingstown, for driving with a suspended license after he was stopped for failing to make a complete stop at the intersection of Rocky Hollow Road and Crompton Avenue. Daniel said he did not have his license on him. A routine check turned up the suspension. He was issued two summons and released. (No word in the report of what happened to his car.)

11:59 p.m. — Police arrested Trent Daugherty, 23, of Broad Rock Road in Peacedale, on a charge of disorderly conduct after he allegedly badgered police and refused to show identification after police broke up a party he was attending on Lion Street. Police had made two previous visits to the address earlier in the evening. This time, the resident told police he would quiet things down and move everyone inside but Daugherty became verbally abusive and threatening, according to the report. Once in custody and at the station, Daugherty calmed down and was courteous and respectful toward the officers. He was issued a summons and released.

Saturday, April 21

8:50 a.m. — Police arrested Ronnie Walker, 48, of Duke Street, for driving with a suspended license and three outstanding District Court bench warrants. Police ran a check on Walker’s license plate number after seeing him walk unsteadily into Thorpe’s Liquors on Main Street and then proceed to drive the car onto Main Street. The car’s registration came back suspended. Once Walker was pulled over, he was unable to provide proof of insurance, a license or registration. He admitted not having an active license. Further checking turned up the three bench warrants. He was transported to the ACI and his car was towed from the scene.

5:12 p.m. — Police arrested Alfredo Rivera, 39, of Hawkins Street in Providence, for disorderly conduct after he was involved in a fight with a man at that man’s Church Street residence. Police issued a No Trespass order to Rivera with regard to the Church Street apartment building.

Sunday, April 22

10:32 a.m. — Police arrested Thomas Karneeb, 45, of Federal Highway in Johnson, for passing a bad check at Wood Jewelers on Main Street. EG police had issued a warrant for his arrest on April 20. Johnston police took him into custody on this day because he was driving with a suspended license. EG police retrieved Karneeb and processed him at the EG station. He was arraigned and released with a court date.
