Your guide for life in East Greenwich today, July 11.

GOP Candidate Signature Party: Stop by Caprice on your way home from work or after dinner and add your signature to our candidates’ filing forms. Candidates need signatures from at least 50 registered voters – Democrat, Republican or other, it doesn't matter – so you can play a big role in getting good candidates on the ballot!

Open Studio Day at Shady Lea Mill: Visitors are welcome between noon and four Wednesdays for open studio day in the summer. You will meet some of the artists and artisans and see what they have to offer. There are jewelers, potters, painters, woodworkers, sculptors, glass blowers and beaders to name a few. You never know who you will  find on a Wednesday afternoon stroll through the Shady Lea. Biomes, the Marine Biology Center will also be open. For a fee, you can see an amazing collection of marine animals. Open Studio Day will continue until Labor Day.

A lot of activity at the old Suncoco Station today. Any word on who bought it or what is going in?

Why no! Guess I'd better check it out. Thanks for the tip!

Just drove in the past hour, multiple dumpster there, a frontloader and entrances were blocked by cones.

I checked with Wayne Pimental at Public Works. They are removing the tanks, the lifts and a couple of other things – things that would need to be done before any sale – but it has not been sold or rented.
