GOP Candidate Signature Party: Stop by Caprice on your way home from work or after dinner and add your signature to our candidates’ filing forms. Candidates need signatures from at least 50 registered voters – Democrat, Republican or other, it doesn't matter – so you can play a big role in getting good candidates on the ballot!

Open Studio Day at Shady Lea Mill: Visitors are welcome between noon and four Wednesdays for open studio day in the summer. You will meet some of the artists and artisans and see what they have to offer. There are jewelers, potters, painters, woodworkers, sculptors, glass blowers and beaders to name a few. You never know who you will  find on a Wednesday afternoon stroll through the Shady Lea. Biomes, the Marine Biology Center will also be open.
