What Rte. 4 Billboards Would Look Like

Lamar Advertising has presented a plan for two billboards on Route 4 on town-owned land next to the high school.

Lamar Advertising emailed a couple of mock-up photos of what billboards on Route 4 would look like, following an initial presentation to the Town Council Monday night.

Lamar would pay from $7,000 to $17,000 a month in rent, depending on the type of billboard. One proposal calls for one "static" billboard and one electronic board – that would bring the higher rent. The other proposal would be two static billboards.

Councilman Mark Gee spoke out strongly against the idea at Monday's meeting; Council President Michael Isaacs and Councilman Mike Kiernan both advocated exploring the proposal further.
