Wall and Epstein Named to GPBOR Executive Board

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (September 25, 2013) – Residential Properties Ltd. Sales Associates Chris Wall and Rich Epstein were both appointed to executive positions with the Greater Providence Board of Realtors (GPBOR) during the group’s 107th Annual Membership Meeting this past Wednesday at the Squantum Association in East Providence.

Wall was announced as the Board’s 94th president, while Epstein was promoted to the position of treasurer.

“I feel honored and humbled,” says Wall. “That my fellow Realtors would have faith in me and put their trust in me to lead them means so much to me. I look forward to working hard on their behalf and on behalf of all of our clients; the homeowners that help make Rhode Island go!”

Wall is an active leader in the Providence Preservation Society and spent the past year chairing the GPBOR Finance Committee. His goals during his time as president are twofold. First, he aims to focus on increasing the professional standards of members to better serve themselves and the public. Secondly, Wall will strive to encourage members to be involved and engaged in the community, while also improving the quality of life for the people who live in the areas they serve.

“I am very happy for Chris,” says Epstein. “I think he will make an excellent President, and am very excited for the entire board.”

In addition to his affiliation with GPBOR, Epstein serves as a Chairperson for the the state’s Realtor Education Committee, and is the Vice Chair of the REALTOR Political Action Committee (RPAC).

“It’s a great feeling to continue moving up the executive board and learning first hand what each position entails,” explains Epstein. “Being a treasurer gives me a greater understanding of the financial inner workings of the board, and this will help me make more informed decisions, not only this year, but in the years to come as a director.”

Both men were quick to thank the people who helped to get them where they’re are today. Wall gave a special thank you to President and Chief Executive Officer of Residential Properties Ltd., Sally Lapides. “As I said in my acceptance speech, I could have a pretty decent second career thanking Sally for all that she has done for me. She has been not only a great boss, bit so much more: a mentor, teacher, Mom, sister, but most of all a friend. She works so hard at bringing out the best in people and I am grateful she is trying to do that with me. Still a work in progress!”
