EG-SK Boys' Lacrosse Final Postponed To Tuesday

The field at Rhode Island College was just too wet for play today after soaking rains Sunday and more rain forecast for Monday.

The Division II boys’ lacrosse title game between East Greenwich and South Kingstown has been postponed for a second time.

The game is now scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Rhode Island College. The delay is due to field conditions.

The game was originally scheduled for Saturday at RIC, but downpours on Saturday caused the game to be postponed to Monday. East Greenwich had graduation ceremonies on Sunday, preventing the game from being played then.

Rain throughout the girls’ lacrosse Division I and II finals on Sunday and overnight, plus the Monday night forecast, have left the field a RIC too wet for play.

There's a 50 percent chance of rain through the rest of today. Tuesay looks a bit better – rain's still in the forecast, but we may see some sun.
