The East Greenwich School Department has cancelled school for Friday, Jan. 3., in advance of what is predicted to be a significant snow storm. This is the first snow day of the 2013-14 school year.
Snow began early Thursday morning with slight accumulation during the day. The school department announced early dismissal for Thursday on Wednesday evening. Snow is predicted to intensify overnight Thursday and into Friday morning, with total snowfall anywhere from 6 to 10 inches.
