“We played a little sloppy in the first half and it showed,” EG's Miner said after the game. Going into the second quarter, he said, the team made adjustments in running and blocking plays, which “really worked well for us.”

The Avengers have a week off and don’t play again until Oct. 27, when they travel to Classical, a team that shut out the Avengers 37-0 when they last met.  According to Miner, the break is coming at a good time for the team.
