TV star Ramona Singer wants both homes in her divorceFor divorce / mediation

Property division can be complex. Couples may have many assets or they may have few. Both cases can present unique challenges that couples must overcome. For example, many may have sentimental attachments to certain assets that may not hold much monetary value, but they still want to fight for these properties vigorously because they have special meaning to them. Or, they may wish to preserve certain assets that hold great monetary value that they believe they are entitled to. In any case, a strong divorce strategy can help divorcees fight for a favorable property division outcome.

Rhode Island residents may recognize Ramona Singer from the popular television series Real Housewives of New York on Bravo. Her recent appearance in the news does not pertain to her television career, however. Singer has filed for divorce with her husband of 27 years, Mario.

Reportedly, Singer walked in on her soon-to-be ex-husband while he was having an affair with a younger woman. In the divorce documents, she stated that for six months their marriage had been irretrievably broken. Also in the divorce documents were some of Singer's desires in property division. She hopes to be given both of the couple's homes -- one of them being an upscale apartment in New York, the other an opulent home in the Hamptons.
