Teen Center: The Teen Center has provided a great place to hang out on Friday evenings for decades now. They meet at the gym at Eldredge School but you don’t have to play basketball to enjoy the camaraderie. From 6 to 8 p.m.

Coastal Growers Winter Farmers Market: The Winter Farmers Market in North Kingstown features many vendors selling produce, meat, baked goods and artisan goods. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lafayette Mill at 650 Ten Rod Road in North Kingstown.

Fashionista Month continues: The EG Free Library continues its high fashion trend, this time at Swift Community Center for a screening of "Valentino - the Last Emperor" with introduction by Linda Welters of the Department of Fashion Merchandising at URI. This beautiful, nostalgic documentary traces the 50-year career of designer Valentino to his 70th birthday gala. The film captures this designer's influence on the way we dress, and the difficult business of fashion. Meadowbrook Farms Preschool seeks peer models: The East Greenwich Public Preschool is looking for community peers for our integrated preschool classrooms. Open house will be on Monday, Feb. 3, from 10 to 11 a.m.

America's Got Talent: The NBC show is looking for contestants for its Season 9 and will be in Providence on Feb. 1 at the R.I. Convention Center. Click here if you are intersted in auditioning.

Feb. Break rec program signup: The East Greenwich Parks and Recreation Department is offering four days of trips and activities for area children, in grades 1-6, during the February vacation break. Children may sign up for a whole day of activities or simply a trip or a project. Registrations will begin on Monday, Jan. 27. To get a preapproved online account, submit an online account request form to the office prior to the sign up date. For paper registrations, get your form to the office prior to Jan. 27 – the office will begin enrolling forms lottery style on that date. Your best chance of getting your selection is via the online process as classes will fill on a first come basis and the office can only process paper forms one at a time. Camperships and reduced fees are available for those on public assistance. Flyers and registration forms are available at the office, the Town Hall, or at www.eastgreenwichri.com.

EG Little League registration is open: Spring is on its way! It’s that time of year again, and Little League baseball, softball and tee ball registration is open.
