Weekend Agenda: 'Blue' Christmas

‘Blue’ Christmas service: For many, Christmas is not a “holly, jolly” time, but a season of sadness, grief, even despair. Those feelings will be recognized and raised them up to God in a “Blue Christmas” service at St. Luke’s, 99 Church St., Saturday at 4 p.m.

Coastal Growers Winter Farmers Market: The Winter Farmers Market in North Kingstown features many vendors selling produce, meat, baked goods and artisan goods. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lafayette Mill at 650 Ten Rod Road in North Kingstown.

On the town's emergency notification list yet? The Town of East Greenwich is looking for residents to join its emergency notification system. The town can only obtain phone numbers for households with land lines; if you have a cell phone you want the town to use for emergency notifications, you need to register it with the town. You can do that from a link on the town’s home page. You’ll find the link in the upper left corner. In addition, you can sign up to receive a weekly “eNews” email from the town. Get connected!
