Military & History Book Sale: The Varnum Armory is holding a sale of military and history books Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be hundreds of used books covering the gamut of military and historical topics, most in excellent (like-new) condition. Down Syndrome Society’s Buddy Walk: The events at Goddard Park kick off with a 5K at 9 a.m. Registration for the walk begins at 10 a.m. with the walk setting off at 11. Adopt-A-Pet Open House: Animals are available for viewing and adoption today with the assistance of a dedicated East Greenwich Animal Protection League member. The open house takes place at Greenwich Bay Animal Hospital from 10:30 to 1 p.m. Individual appointments are also available.
