Coastal Growers Winter Farmers Market: The Winter Farmers Market in North Kingstown features many vendors selling produce, meat, baked goods and artisan goods. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lafayette Mill at 650 Ten Rod Road in North Kingstown.

Atwater-Donnelly Barn Dance: Put your dancing shoes for a Community Barn Dance featuring the musical group Atwater-Donnelly at Rocky Hill School. Atwater-Donnelly  provides a unique and thrilling blend of traditional American and Celtic folk music and dance, along with original songs and poetry. All ages are welcome and all levels of dancing ability as well! $5/person or $10/family. 6 p.m.

Adopt-A-Pet Open House: Animals are available for viewing and adoption today with the assistance of a dedicated East Greenwich Animal Protection League member. The open house takes place at Greenwich Bay Animal Hospital from 10:30 to 1 p.m. Individual appointments are also available.

Joined town emergency notification list yet? The Town of East Greenwich is looking for residents to join its emergency notification system. The town can only obtain phone numbers for households with land lines; if you have a cell phone you want the town to use for emergency notifications, you need to register it with the town. You can do that from a link on the town’s home page. You’ll find the link in the upper left corner. In addition, you can sign up to receive a weekly “eNews” email from the town. Get connected!
