Weekend Agenda: Holiday Sharing Locker

Your guide for life in East Greenwich for Saturday and Sunday.

On Saturday …

The Sharing Locker’s holiday opening: The Sharing Locker holds its annual holiday opening at Westminister Unitarian Church on Kenyon Avenue. It’s an opportunity for those in need to collect non-food items, such as diapers and toiletries. Refreshments will be provided by Dunkin' Donuts. Each client will receive a cat and/or dog toy for their pet, thanks to the "Friends of Taika" campaign run by three young church members. The trio raised money to purchase the animal toys – enough to buy 132 toys for dogs and 123 toys for cats! Gift baskets will be given to 12 to 15 clients whose names are drawn at random. 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Coastal Growers Winter Farmers Market: The Winter Farmers Market in North Kingstown features many vendors selling produce, meat, baked goods and artisan goods. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lafayette Mill at 650 Ten Rod Road in North Kingstown.

Christmas Community Italian Dinner: Christ Church is hosting a community dinner in the beautifully decorated sanctuary on the Sunday before Christmas. Dinner will include pasta and meatballs, salad, rolls and cake. Everyone is invited! There will be two "seatings" at 4:30 and 5:45 p.m. All are welcome. Free.
