You just can't find food this fresh and homemade at these prices nowadays.
If you're looking for a really inexpensive meal but want it fresh and homemade too, I'm telling 'ya, Norman's Restaurant at 155 Main Street in East Greenwich RI 02818 is the tool of choice!
We just walked by one night and realized that this great smelling place was open, nothing fancy but sure smelled good, so I tried some wieners (a great litmus test for small restaurants) and they were fresh and tasty.
Now, I love homemade style Fried Chicken and they have it here, and I checked first to make sure, but they make it right there from scratch, in their own kitchen!
Juicy fresh and delicious and not greasy, made to order every time! With fries and a sweet and tasty cole slaw - everything is super fresh and top quality yet cheaper than anywhere else!
Like eight bucks for a fried chicken dinner! Where else on earth are you going to get quality like this for so little? They will prepare it anyway you want too.
I eat very fresh and healthy food (I usually shop at Organic grocery stores) and I know from experience when I eat really fresh, high quality food.
They are easy to find on 155 Main St. in East Greenwich, right next door to the bar, but separate. They are also now open 'till TEN O'CLOCK at night. Call first.
If you are hungry for great food fresh and cheap to boot, do your stomach and your wallet a favor - stop by Norman's.

Very misunderstood venue. Late night crowd can be raucous, and I believe foods is not served after 8 or 9 pm. But I couldn't agree more with the review by Kyle D. The dining area is separate from the barroom, and given the early morning and afternoon hours of operation, it's proximity to the liquor area is not an issue. My favorite thing @ Norman's! I grew up in Providence, but now my children are l are living in somewhat "sheltered" EG.
Being able to bring them when they were 8 or 9 to introduce them to Rhode Island's own hot wieners was priceless!
