The owners and staff are great people. They always say hello and goodbye, they keep up their machines, the place is very clean, and it's well organized.

This club is awesome for the sole reason that the owners are there every single day. You can talk to them, they listen, take suggestions to heart and always have a smile. They are both in amazing shape and not only, "Talk the talk but walk the walk". Just to see them is motivation unto itself. Rumor is they are looking to do even more great things in the form of personal training with their certified, (not cracker jack box) trainers/instructors and equipment. If you left because of "Core" you owe it to yourself to come back. If you've never gone there, you owe to yourself join and feel like, "one of the family". Great Place!

Great gym, never a wait for a machine if you go at the right time. I also very much appreciate being able to use the classroom (when no classes are scheduled, of course), and do some private training. The best part about the gym, to me, is the sauna. I would like to see some new TVs, preferable a few new treadmills with a TV interface, but that is not a deal breaker. I also, am greeted by name, which is very nice. I would definitely recommend trying the gym out and seeing if it fits you. There are definitely cheaper out there, but the old adage is true, you get what you pay for.

Amazing gym! The staff is incredibly friendly, and I'm always greeted by name when I walk in. I was a member here when it was Core and continued on once it became Ocean State Health and Fitness. I almost left Core, but now I'm so happy I didn't. I can't believe what a difference the new owners made. Old management was running it into the ground with moodiness and a negative attitude. Now everyone is happy and helpful. If you left Core because of the previous management or continued broken down equipment, I highly recommend you give Ocean State a try! I love the new steam room!
