Our Lady of Mercy has been in East Greenwich for more than 150 years and is the largest Roman Catholic parish in the area. Fr. Bernard A. Healey is the pastor.
Masses are held throughout the week. Reconciliation, Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation and Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults are all offered. Marriage services and sacrament for the sick are also available.
The parish has a well-regarded adult choir led by Brother Roger Chingas, F.S.C. The parish's after-school CCD program serves a large number of children.
