I recently had my first appointment at the Phoenix Fertility Center. After 8 months of trying to get pregnant, I began to feel like something was not quite right. I have read a lot about western medicine's solutions to infertility, and I knew I really wanted to get pregnant naturally, if possible. A friend recommended PFC to me, and despite my hesitations mainly because of cost, I decided to give it a try. At my first appointment, Hwasook collected information on my diet, sleep, and menstruation patterns. She was very knowledgeable and reassuring and gave me some initial information on how to change my diet. After 8 months of feeling at a loss of what to do to increase my chances of conceiving, the PFC has given me some hope that with some diet and lifestyle changes, as well as acupuncture, a baby is possible.

After trying both eastern and western medical approaches to treat my infertility issues to no avail..... I did some further research about eastern medical approaches and came across the Fertility Acupuncturist's website. I spent hours reading all the information and testimonials regarding infertility. This gave me hope and I decided to reach out to Amelia to see if she could help us become pregnant again. After 6 months of working with the acupuncturists at Phoenix Fertility Center I became pregnant! I am currently 36 weeks pregnant! I have had a very easy and uneventful pregnancy thus far. The tests (hair and saliva), along with charting and my weekly acupuncture visits were able to give Hwasook and Amelia significant information as to my body’s particular actions and needs. Amelia, Chris and Hwasook are incredibly gifted in their ability to listen to their patients, understand the test results and charts and create protocols and treatments specific to that particular patient's needs. The knowledge regarding fertility and the female body that the team possesses is extraordinary. Not only are they well informed but they are able to explain it so it is extremely understandable and makes perfect sense. Their knowledge and willingness to seek out the appropriate treatments was evident during every one of my visits. I highly recommend the team at Phoenix Fertility Center for all aspects of well being, not just for fertility issues.

I've been a patient at Phoenix Fertility Center for more than two years. First I worked with Amelia Hirota who is the most knowledgeable, caring and compassionate person. I was very sad to know that Amelia was leaving the country but I trusted her choices and continued with my treatments and I'm currently seeing Dr. Hwasook once a week.She is caring and warm, and she knows a lot about the female body. I know that Amelia and Hwasook work together as a team to make sure their patients get the best individualized plan. I get specific treatments every week. So far she has helped me with digestion issues, back pains, and we keep working on hormonal imbalances and adrenal issues. Dr. Hwasook not only gives acupuncture but also works with herbs and supplements as needed and also gives me cupping treatments which is the only thing that alleviates my back pain and tension headaches. She also gives nutritional advice, listens and answers to your questions during your visit and by email. I don't feel the need anymore to see my primary care physician, I only go once a year. I think the holistic approach is what my body needs. I love coming to the PFC because even my insurance doesn't cover the cost of the treatments, I know investing in my body and health is the best I can do for myself. I had heard about Phoenix Fertility Center last year through a friend. My husband and I were very skeptical of pursing this for a few reasons, some of which included time, commitment, and financial. After many failed attempts of getting pregnant which included IUI, and IVF, my husband and I decided to take a more holistic approach. My first appointment with Dr Hwasook Lee was last week. She was very knowledgeable and extremely thorough in explaining each protocol, and structured an individualized care plan that would meet my needs. She recommended certain lifestyle changes that may aid my quest of getting pregnant. What she had recommended wasn’t lavishly outrageous, but rather simple. It actually made sense. One example was to change some of my dietary habits. Adding more fruits and vegetables, minimizing junk food intake like cookies (that was the hardest challenge) and adding natural supplements were just some of the recommendations she had. After 1 week of sticking to her care plan, I can already see a difference in my body. I feel energized, mentally positive, and optimistic that this may be the key to unlocking my fertility door (which to my husband and I feel like its triple locked). I highly recommend PFC and Dr Hwasook for their dedication to helping individual’s live happier and healthier lives, as well as their devotion to helping struggling couples find a solution to getting pregnant.

I've been a patient at Phoenix Fertility Center since 2007. I first came to see Amelia Hirota because I was having difficulty conceiving my second child. I had a 3 year old, was 40 years old and desperately wanted a sibling for my daughter. I worked with Amelia for 6 months, conceived and had my baby in 2008.

I continued seeing Amelia through the first trimester of my pregnant and then again at 36 weeks to prepare for my delivery. I'm happy to share that my pregnancy was very smooth and I was never told that I was high risk because of my age. My delivery was much easier than my first and I attribute that to the pre-birth acupuncture that I received.

Since having my baby, I have continued to work with Amelia on my general health and on keeping my hormones balanced. Amelia is a very knowledgeable acupuncturist and has helped many members of my family with health complaints. Whenever anyone is sick, we contact Amelia and she gives us dietary advice and prescribes supplements to us. She has become our go to person for many of our day to day health complaints. I'm happy to recommend Phoenix to anyone looking for quality health care.
