Tom Badger April 17, 2014 at 01:16 pm
oh I forgot to add my dad was fighting these terrorists around the world back in the early 1930's .Read More He came up with a way to make them stop the terrorism . His cure to this was putting the dead terrorists in a wooden box . Put the male sex organ and a pigs foot / hamhock in their mouths with the blood pig entrails all over them and deliver said box to their mothers . This sent a message and actually stopped terrorism but in this world of PC / Political Correctness my dad's old methods are not allowed now sorry to say . Take care cause we care .

strange how we respond just as the terrorists desire us to. the media commemorates each incident asRead More if it were a new profit center to mine for every last click. whole populations now sit in fear of another 'something' about to happen, never again, fully safe like we were in the good old days of the cold war? once these bstrds hit us deep inside our own turf we have not become stronger, but rather 'hardened', emboldened in our delusions of ultimate superiority, no longer safe on our 'island of north america'. each of these events changes us all even imperceptably, forcing us to accept their motives, their ideals, their imam imposed concept of living. we act in unison, determined to show them we are not affected, yet that very demonstration reveals our inner need to respond, to re-affirm our own injury, each of those crowd-felt sympathies we all cling to, even if for the brief moment of our 'crowd'. be strong, and further, be alert, be conspicuous in manner in which you care for each other. shy not away from those who seek your death, but do not embrace them, as they fein no challenge to seek close to your demise.

What Rhode Islanders Can Do to protect ourselves about zebras. WE MUST INTRODUCE LEGISLATION NOWRead More As of early 1993 (4), no zebra mussels have been found in Rhode Island waters. However, zebra mussels have rapidly expanded their range and are predicted to invade New England waters. Ultimately, zebra mussels will infest most regions of North America. They could threaten local water supplies and become a costly nuisance to boaters, anglers, and industries. It is possible to slow the spread of zebra mussels into New England waters by becoming aware of how these mussels disperse themselves through human activities. Boaters or anglers may inadvertently transport zebra mussels from infested freshwater bodies to noninfested lakes and rivers. In an effort to control zebra mussels from spreading to Rhode Island waters, take the following precautions after boating or fishing in infested waters: 1. INSPECT and CLEAN any zebra mussels and aquatic vegetation from the boat hull, trailer, anchor, anchor rope or chain, and motor. If you see any "hitchhiking" zebra mussels, scrape them off and discard in a trash can. 2. DRAIN all water from the boat and its components. Before leaving the infested area, drain bilge water, live wells, bait buckets, and engine cooling water. 3. DRY the boat, trailer, and equipment. Allow the boat and trailer to dry thoroughly in the sun before transporting to noninfested waters. If it is hot and dry, leaving the boat out of the water for two to four days will effectively kill the mussels. 4. LEAVE any live bait behind. Bait used in infested waters should not be transported to noninfested waters. Give the bait to someone headed out on the body of water you are leaving, or discard at the boat launch.

People who have had no vested interest (themselves or a kid that went to URI) have no validRead More argument. I went to a College that had armed campus police, my kids went to URI. I would have liked to see them protected to the fullest extent. The stoner heads that go back to the 60's...need to tighten their balding head pony tails and figure out there weren't any campus police shootings at Kent. Don't lasso "all violence" with the issue of whether or not the URI police should or shouldn't be armed. Again If you have no vested interest, you have no dog in the fight.

A combined effort between School Committee and Council with the goal of what's best for the town isRead More in order. At least if I were calling the shots, the goal would be scrutinize the contracts, direct teacher negotiations to emulate the trend and needs of the tax payers. Things like, health insurance buybacks, accumulated sick time, increase in insurance co-share all on the table! Rough numbers used to be 80-85% of the budget goes for salaries and benefits. By the time you pay overhead costs (Heat, Elect, Fuel, Maint etc..) there isn't as much to play with as you may think. Yes we need to fix the roads, plow the snow and do all the things related to a municipality but we have reached the point where we have lost our focus and vision. It's time for a new set of eyes!

Didn't the school dept just hire an IT director? Why not consolidate the entire town IT support intoRead More one group and really make sure we're reducing redundancies in support, applications, processes, personnel. Mark Schieldrop (Editor) April 15, 2014 at 12:10 pm
I didn't put this in the story, but Coyle noted that the FD consolidation means there is noRead More additional fire district tax. I don't have a dollar amount to put out there in terms of savings as the costs/savings are spread throughout a lot of the budget.

Here's the story I posted this morning and was censored by PATCH Pistol Turned to ‘SubmachineRead More Gun’ By Clueless Media April 15, 2014 | Filed under Constitutional Issues, corruption,Culture,Culture Of Corruption,Democrats,Dumb Criminals,Gun control,Liberals,Media | Posted by Warner Todd Huston Once again we get proof of how mindless and clueless the media is, how they don’t fact check, but just mindlessly pass on each other’s bad work ad infinitum. This time it happened with a story about a criminal who used a .22 caliber pistol in a crime but one clueless reporter turned it into a “submachine gun” and hundreds of his mindless colleagues followed suit passing the lie on and on and on. Clueless reporter Darryl Holliday of DNAinfo Chicago, a website that caters to local news, reported on an incident that was perpetrated by a man from West Garfield Park who began wielding a .22 caliber pistol in a grocery store because he didn’t want to pay the 22 cents tax on a bottle of pop he was trying to buy. Holliday “reported” that the crook “pulled an Intratec submachine gun out of a Gucci satchel,” and in the next paragraph again claimed the piece was a “submachine gun” saying, “Officers arrived on the scene shortly after to find Shelton’s Gucci bag open on the counter as well as 15 bullets in the blue steel .22-caliber submachine gun–eight live rounds in one magazine, five in another and one in the chamber, according to court documents.” Of course, it is clear that reporter Holliday doesn’t have any idea what he’s rambling on about. The .22 caliber Intratec pistol is not a “submachine gun. It is a semi-automatic pistol like every other semi-auto pistol. A submachine gun is an automatic rifle that uses pistol cartridges instead of larger ones such as rifle or armor piercing cartridges. A one-hand-held version of this weapon is called a “machine pistol,” but it is also fully automatic. The Intratec pistol used in this crime is not a fully automatic weapon, however. It is semi-auto-meaning it fires only once when the trigger is pulled. It does not expel a stream of bullets like a fully automatic weapon does. Yet, as soon as this story went live on April 13, dozens of other so-called news outlets took up the claim that this dolt used a “submachine gun” in his crime. All one need do is put “Nahshon Shelton submachine gun” in any search engine and dozens of so-called news stories will be revealed saying that the criminal used a “submachine gun.” It all just shows that whenever you see a report on guns in the Old Media establishment, you should not trust it. They don’t even know the proper definitions of firearms terms and from there all their “facts” are suspect.
