A neighbor alerted the East Greenwich Fire District after seeing smoke coming from the house.
A neighbor of a house on Hemlock Drive notified the East Greenwich Fire District to a fire after seeing smoke coming from the house at around 2:50 p.m. Friday. No one was home at the time of the fire, which was confined to the attic according to Deputy Fire Chief Russell McGillvray. No other houses were threatened. McGillvray said the fire was knocked down by EG fire fighers, with help from Warwick Fire on making sure there were no hidden…

"The full amount would not hit this budget mainly because of timing," said Isaacs. The cost of the first …
