Pet of the Week: Erin

Erin is a white Old English Terrier

This cute little girl is Erin. Erin is a 2-year-old white Old English Terrier. She was brought to the East Greenwich Animal Protection League after being rescued from Providence. This girl is definitely a people person but understandably gets nervous when she is in her cage. Come visit Erin – and all the dogs and cats in need of permanent homes – at EGAPL (located at Greenwich Bay Animal Hospital) Sundays from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., hope to see you there!

Pet of the Week: Spirit

Spirit is shy, but sweet

Spirit is the week's beautiful Pet of the Week. Recently surrendered to EGAPL because of allergies, this adorable long-haired domestic-short hair is only a few years old and very sweet. Spirit is eager to have a loving home to live in, the shelter makes her a bit nervous. To visit Spirit, come to EGAPL located at Greenwich Bay Animal Hosital Sunday morning 10:30 to 1:00. Hope to see you there!

Pet of the Week: Abby

A missing leg doesn't slow Abby down.

Abby does not know that she is no ordinary cat. Really, Abby has her three-legged hobble down to a science and is a happy girl. This 10-year-old brown Tiger does not know what life is like with four legs because Abby was born with her umbilical cord wrapped around her leg, leaving the vet no choice but to amputate. The only thing Abby does realize is that she is unable to scratch herself so she is over the moon when she is brushed (they even leave the brush for her in the cage, and she happily uses it). Abby is a real sweetheart and deserves a home where she can get plently of love (and brushings). Come meet Abby at East Greenwich Animal Protection League's Adopt-A-Pet Open House Sunday between 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Greenwich Bay …

Pet of the Week: Mack

Mack is a handsome English Bulldog.

Interested in a handsome energetic English Bulldog? Then Mack just may well be the dog for you. Mack is a little over 3 years old and was surrendered to the East Greenwich Animal Protection League because his family was no longer able to care for him. He is a playful boy who would make a great addition to your family! Come meet Mack and all the dogs and cats in need of forever homes at EGAPL's Adopt-A-Pet Open House Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., located at Greenwich Bay Animal Hospital. Hope to see you there!

Pet of the Week: Pumba

Pumba is a loving boy looking for a loving home.

Pumba is a 2-year-old brown tiger who was rescued by a Greenwich Bay Animal Hospital worker when he was found as a stray. Pumba is FIV positive so this means he has to be the only cat and no dogs. Other animals however are fine. Pumba is a love who is waiting for that someone to come rescue him.  You can meet Pumba and all the East Greenwich Animal Protection League animals waiting for their forever homes on Sunday between 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Greenwich Bay Animal Hospital. Or check out the animals online anytime at egapl.org and arrange a visit.

Pet of the Week: Charles

Charles needs a loving home to go to after he finishes his training.

Two years old and Charles is already starting to rack up the frequent flyer miles. Charles was rescued from the south via Pilots N Paws and brought to the East Greenwich Animal Protection League. He is a tricolored boxer/lab mix. Charles is good with other dogs but would prefer to be in a home with experienced adults who can take care of him because he has some fear issues. Currently Charles is receiving training for these issues and will be available for adoption. So keep Charles in mind, he is definitely worth the wait! Come check out EGAPL's other amazing animals too at Adopt-A-Pet open house at the Greenwich Bay Animal Hospital Sundays from 10:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. Hope to see you there!

Pet Of The Week: Missy

Missy is a large but gentle Mastiff.

Missy is a 10-year-old Mastiff who despite her age is a happy fun-loving girl who really wants a family to call her own. Missy is a gentle giant who loves to give kisses to anyone who will let her! Come see Missy at the East Greenwich Animal Protection League located at Greenwich Bay Animal Hospital Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for EGAPL's Adopt-A-Pet Open House. Hope to see you there!

Pet of the Week: Bingo

Bingo hasn't had it easy lately, but she's a fighter

Bingo came to the East Greenwich Animal Protection League about a month ago because she was left with nowhere to go after her owners lost their home to foreclosure. Bingo arrived with a bad case of fleas and an upper respiratory infection, but she's a trooper and didn't complain once. She's a happy and now-healthy 13-year-old who has a lot of love to give. Please consider giving Bingo a home. You can see her and all the animals looking for their permanent home Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Adopt-A-Pet open house at EGAPL located at Greenwich Bay Animal Hospital.

Pet of the Week: Capo

A playful boy who loves to give hugs

Capo is one handsome pit bull terrier. He is an 8-month-old and has a gray/blue coat and is all healthy. Capo is a happy boy who loves to play and he can be a softie too. He would do the best in a home without cats. To see Capo come to East Greenwich Animal Protection League's Adopt-A-Pet open house Sunday 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. located at Greenwich Bay Animal Hospital.

Pet of the Week: Murphy

This big boy has plenty of love to go around

No one likes to see an animal returned to the shelter, and of course the animal does not like it either. Murphy thought he was done with EGAPL after spending a sad two years at the shelter. However, Murphy is back because his owner had to move and could not take him with her. Murphy is a very sweet 7-year-old and is white with brown tiger patches. He is a big boy, but that means more to love. Please consider adopting Murphy and giving him the home he deserves, and if you cannot adopt, please consider fostering Murphy. Murphy has a lot of love to give! Come see Murphy and all of East Greenwich Animal Protection League's other great cats and dogs Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at EGAPL's Adopt-A-Pet open house located at Greenwich Bay …
