Fire District nominating committee meeting: The panel will discuss opening positions. It takes place early — 7:30 a.m. at the downtown fire station (Station One). “Musica Dolce” concerts: The EG Cultural Organization for the Arts presents “Musica Dolce” at three of the public elementary schools today. Musica Dolce is Southeastern New England’s chamber orchestra. The first performance takes place at Eldredge at 9:10 a.m.; the second is at Meadowbrook at 10:30, and the final performance is at Hanaford at 1:30 p.m. The public is allowed to attend. Lacrosse x 3 & softball: Arrive at Carcieri Field at 4 and if you can stay for a few hours, you’ll see plenty of lacrosse action today. First up, the EGHS boys junior varsity team plays Mount St. Charles, followed by a varsity match up at 5pm. The Avenger girls take to the field at 7 against LaSalle.
