Obituary: John R. Barbour III, 30

A graduate of Toll Gate High School, John loved sports, boating, fishing, and vintage Mustang cars.

John R. Barbour III, 30, died Thursday, April 11. A lifelong resident of Warwick, he was the beloved son of John R. Barbour II and Becky A. (Keller) Rinaldo; stepson of Philip J. Rinaldo and grandson of Elizabeth A. Barbour. John worked with the Rhode Island National Guard in the maintenance department. He also worked for Bird’s Eye View Helicopters in Newport and Christmas season at UPS. He was a graduate of Tollgate High School, Class of 2001, and had a love for sports, boating, fishing and vintage Mustang cars. He also leaves his loving aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends. His funeral will be held Wednesday, April 17, at 8:30 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., with a Requiem Eucharist at 10 a…

Obituary: Robert R. Barbour, Sr., 82

He was a self-employed shell fisherman.

Robert R. Barbour, Sr., 82, a longtime resident of East Greenwich, passed away peacefully at home on Jan. 23. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Janice C. (Nichols) Barbour. Born in Warwick, he was a son of the late James and Mae (Cody) Barbour. Mr. Barbour was a self-employed shell fisherman. He was a Korean War Army veteran and a member of the Thunderbirds 179th Infantry Division. He was a member of King Solomon F & AM and a passed member of the Kentish Guards. Besides his wife, he leaves his children, Robert R. Barbour, Jr., and his wife, Marilyn, Rebecca J. Barbour, and Susan J. Barbour; his grandchildren, Daniel R. and Sarah R.; and a brother Arland R.
