Police are still compiling information on the Friday morning incident that mobilized dozens of law enforcement.
Police have released the names of the three suspects in the breaking and entering on Middle Road Friday morning that prompted a manhunt in the Frenchtown area. Ryan Grant Callahan, 26, of Church Street in West Warwick, faces charges of breaking and entering, conspiracy to commit a break in, receiving stolen goods (a felony), driving a stolen car and driving with a suspended license. An arrest warrant for a second suspect in the Frenchtown break has been issued.
Police have made arrests in two incidents that took place this week — a break in to an occupied house on Frenchtown Road Monday afternoon and an armed robbery at Sunnybrook Farms Tuesday night. Police arrested Samuel T. Lemont, 18, of Bayberry Lane, for the armed robbery of the Main Street convenience store. The robbery took place Tuesday evening at 9:33 p.m. Lemont allegedly held up the lone employee, departing with an unknown amount of money. The weapon — a semi-automatic handgun — was recovered, according to police. Lemont was arraigned Thursday in Kent County District Court on one count of first degree robbery. According to police, she barricaded herself in an upstairs room and called police.
A suspect broke into a house on Frenchtown Road west of Tillinghast Road late afternoon Monday and a young girl was in the house at the time, police said Monday night. The girl, who police said was under age 15, hid in an upstairs room and called 911. "She did an excellent job of keeping in touch with us," said Det. Lieutenant Jeremy Fague Monday night. She continued to update police throughout the encounter. By the time police arrived, however, the suspect was gone. The girl was not hurt. "We arrived on scene and the suspect wasn’t there and we started our investigation," Fague said. "The house was broken into." Ronald Grasso, 42, of North Kingstown, has been arraigned on one count of breaking-and-entering in an incident Sunday, Nov. 13, at a house on Cedar Avenue. He is facing additional charges in breaks in North Kingstown, South Kingstown and West Warwick as well. Police suspect him to be a number of other breaks. North Kingstown police arrested Grasso and his companion, Alyssa Colaluca, 23, of Providence, on Wednesday at Grasso’s house on Post Road.
