Pies, Flowers, Turkey … What’s Available, When Do I Have To Order?

Thanksgiving is a week away. Several area shops can help take some of the work out of your day.

Thanksgiving is days away. If you're like me, your panic level is beginning to rise. But have no fear. There is plenty of help right here in East Greenwich.  Let's start with turkeys. Need a bird? For the first time (in recent history anyway), you can buy an East Greenwich pastured-raised bird at Pat's Pastured, the farming business at Boesch Farm on South Road. If you haven't reserved a bird, take your chances on Tuesday between 2 to 7 p.m., when turkeys are being picked up. There will be centerpieces, pies and vegetables for sale at the farm that day too. Check out the vendors here.  At Dave's Marketplace, there are many different kinds of turkeys to choose from, including two "natural" varieties. You can have Dave's make it "oven ready…
