Five things you need to know about East Greenwich today, Dec 19.

Christmas dinner … early: Christ Community Kitchen will be serving up Christmas dinner a few days early tonight, starting at 5 p.m. at St. Luke’s. All are welcome; it’s free, but donations are accepted. Children’s crafts at the library: Looking for an activity to fill the hours between now and Dec. 25? Children of all ages are invited to stop by the Children's Room Drop-In Craft Table any time during regular East Greenwich Free Library hours to celebrate the season with a variety of holiday craft activities throughout the month. Event Of The Day

EVENT OF THE DAY: Children's Room Craft Table

East Greenwich Free Library offers a craft table for children during regular library hours.

Children of all ages are invited to visit the East Greenwich Free Library's drop-in craft table to create and experience different crafts and activities during regular library hours.  From today until June 30, the crafts will be themed around this summer's reading program theme, "Travel the World." The craft table is open Mon. through Thurs. 10am to 8pm; Fri. & Sat. 10am to  4pm. The library is located at 82 Peirce St.
