Unruly Dogs And Un-Civil Behavior

Information about the following incidents was supplied by the East Greenwich Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, July 19 3:18 p.m. – The owner of Civil on Main Street reported the theft of a pair of sunglasses. He told police he’d reviewed the surveillance tape and saw a man take a pair of Oakley sunglasses out of a box on the counter, slip the glasses under his shirt, then leave the store. In the video, the owner could see another man and a woman who were talking to the first man as if they knew him. The owner recognized one of the people and made contact with the woman through Facebook. Police got statements from the woman and the man, both of whom said they didn’t realize the first man had taken the sunglasses until they were all in a car together afterwards. Based on the information, police issued a warrant on the first man. 6:45 p.m…
