That means trash is delayed a day for the rest of the week, too. Kidzone 'School’s Out' Party: Children up to age 8 are invited to come in to Kidzone for a day of fun! Town Council meeting: Could it be a bakery is coming to Main Street? Well, the agenda says it could be so – Silver Spoon Bakery is applying for a victualling license. McDonald’s is also looking for a victualling license for a new restaurant on New London Turnpike. (And, just in case you – like me before I got this job – didn’t know, victualling means “provide with food.”) EG Farmers Market: It's official, fall is here. We may be sad about the passing of beach season, but a visit to the EG Farmers Market at Rector Street will make any sadness vanish. Fall foods are just so picturesque! Enjoy. Isaacs declined to say whose name he was thinking of putting forward. The meeting takes place at Town Hall at 7 p.m. EG Farmers Market: It’s Monday, which means time for our wonderful local farmers market. Whether you like the tacos or pizza, fresh fish or meat, veggies or sweets, or if you just like to hang out under…

Town Council meeting: On tonight’s agenda is further discussion of the Lamar Advertising proposal to put two billboards on Route 4 by Avenger Drive. But, Town Council President Michael Isaacs stressed last week, this is not a public hearing. He said he wasn’t sure the proposal would go any further than tonight’s discussion and that he, for one, is now against the idea. Also on the agenda is the first reading of an ordinance change that would require a 4-way stop at the intersection of Rector and Church streets. Right now, only cars on Rector are required to stop. The meeting, held in Council Chambers at Town Hall, begins at 7 p.m. EG Farmers’ Market: The market is going great guns this season, with new vendors and old favorites. There …
