Fire Log: Good Intention Calls, Car Accidents

Fire log reports from the EG Fire District from Monday, Nov. 26, through Sunday, Dec. 2.

Monday, Nov. 26 8:44 a.m. – Vehicle accident with injuries on Route 4 southbound. 9:26 a.m. – Alarm system sounded, no fire, untentional at 232 Main St. 11:21 a.m. – Flammable liquid spill on Route 4 northbound. 4:25 p.m. – Vehicle accident, general cleanup, on 5775 Post Road. Tuesday, Nov. 27 12:32 p.m. – Assisting police, 1050 Main St. 10 p.m. – Carbon monoxide detector activation, no leak, at 36 Locust Drive. Wednesday, Nov. 28 3:22 a.m. – Alarm system sounded due to malfunction at 100 Pegwin Drive. 3:06 p.m. – Mutual aid at 7041 Post Road in North Kingstown. 9:36 p.m. – Carbon monoxide incident, possible problem with furnace at 40 Deerfield Drive. Faulty Alarms And A Melted Candle

The East Greenwich Fire District responded to the following calls during the period Jan. 30 through Feb. 5.

Jan. 30 EMS calls only. Jan. 31 8:58 a.m. — A system malfunction (no fire) at 1567 South County Trail. Officials reset the system. 6:05 p.m. — An alarm sounded at 40 Chief Botelho Court, caused by food on the stove. Feb. 1 12:41 a.m. — A motor vehicle accident on Middle Road at Howland Road. 2:06 p.m. — A “good intent” call for an overheated vehicle on Route 4 southbound. 3:30 p.m. — An unintentional alarm sound on 2608 South County Trail. Feb. 2 1 p.m. — A carbon monoxide detector activated at 1 Corr Way. There was no CO; the alarm was caused by a power outage. 1:04 p.m. — An alarm system at 50 Moosehorn Road sounded after a power outage. 1:42 p.m. — A commercial box alarm went off at 5700 Post Road while it was being worked on.
