What Super Bowl? Avenger Football's got a First Team All Stater!

Senior Kyle Palmer has been named to the Providence Journal's First Team, All State for football, capping a terrific season that saw the Avengers in the Division III championship. Carney Crawford, a junior, was named to the Second Team.  "This is a big deal for a Division III player, as most of those spots go to Division I kids," said Avenger coach John George. The Avengers made it to the Super Bowl for the first time since 2006, losing to the Middletown Islanders, 33-21.  "Kyle Palmer led the state in interceptions with 10.
