Lice In EG? Yes. A Parent Offers Help

She crafted a clever graphic with all the information you need to be lice free.

It's the note from school nobody wants to get: your child has head lice. Yet, it happens to many of us, so many in fact, you'd think the stigma would be gone. But it persists.  One EG parent had to deal with lice this past fall. When she heard about another case, she decided to use the instance as a teachable – and with any luck, lice-free – moment. Check out her cool graphic above. And if you are one of those whose child brings home that dreaded note ... breath, this too shall pass.

Cute graphic, but not based on latest studies; it perpetuates myths causing undue stress. First, lice are more in the front to crown of the head, nits are found on the hair shaft close to the scalp commonly behind the ears, nape of neck and crown. Second, looking for bites is misleading.
