PieZoni's is going to be a take-out and eat-in pizza and calzone restaurant; Raw Bob's Organic Juicery is going in next to Symposium Books on Main Street.
The weather's still cold, but looking at the new businesses opening or planning to open in town, hibernation season is definitely over. Two more businesses announced themselves at Monday night's Town Council meeting: PieZoni's and Raw Bob's. PieZoni's is a small pizza restaurant chain based in East Providence, with 15 restaurants in Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts. Silver Spoon owners Kelly and Scott Santos told Council members they needed a full liquor license to be able to serve wine and liqueurs to their patrons who come in for cupcakes and macaroons. Originally, they thought they could just apply for a wine-and-beer license but liqueurs required a full license. They said they had no intention of serving beer or hard liquor, but rather were looking …

Now if only there were decent parking for either of these places. The lot at Dave's plaza is a nightmare and so is parking on Main Street. I bet both businesses are closed by the end of the summer because of it.   more ›
