Lynn J. (Stepka) Mitchell, 43, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Sunday, Dec. 23. She was the wife of Bruce S. Mitchell of Exeter. Born in Attleboro, Mass., she was the daughter of William F. and Doris J. (Roy) Stepka of Johnston. Besides her husband she is survived by two children, Madeline and Scott Mitchell, stepson Nick Murphy of Exeter; a brother Michael Stepka of Attleboro, Mass., and a grandmother Emily Stepka of Johnston. A graduate of URI, Lynn had a Masters degree from Rhode Island College. She was a math teacher for the Riptide team at Cole Middle School.
