Monday, May 13 9:11 a.m. – Police arrested Christopher P. Reddy, 31, of Ledge Street in Providence, on a warrant after he was pulled over for speeding on Division Street. Routine checks turned up the active warrant. He was processed at the station and taken to 6th District Court in Providence. 3:45 p.m. – A Spring Street resident complained to police about the owner of the apartment house next door because he was not mowing the lawn in a timely manner. After making a complaint to the town, she received a letter from the property owner that said she should have contacted him before going to the town. The letter continued, “I can be a great neighbor and friend or i (sic) can be a nightmare.” The resident said she wanted the incident …

Monday, April 22 12:11 p.m. – An East Greenwich woman told police she had been assaulted by her boyfriend, with whom she lives, in the early morning hours. She said she hadn’t contacted police right away out of fear. Police referred the woman to the domestic violence advocate and issued a warrant for the boyfriend. 3:30 p.m. – Police arrested Ronald J. Fournier, 32, of Sylvan Drive, on a warrant for charges of domestic assault and disorderly conduct at his home. He was taken into custody, processed at the station, arraigned and released with a District Court summons. 9:02 p.m. – Following a report, police found a Star of David spray painted in blue on top of a patch of white paint on a shed in the southeast corner of East Greenwich High …

Thursday, April 18 5:05 p.m. – Police arrested Jeffrey Laychak, 27, of Laurel Ridge Lane in North Kingstown, for driving with a suspended license after he was pulled over on Main Street because of an expired inspection sticker. Routine checks turned up the license violation as well as car registration suspension. Police had the car towed from the scene and released Laychak with a court summons. Friday, April 19 12:28 a.m. – Police arrested Michelle Weinberg, 45, of Frenchtown Road, for driving while in intoxicated and refusing to take a chemical breath test, after she was pulled over because she’d almost hit a police car on Division Street. Monday, March 18 12:50 p.m. – A resident of a house on Frenchtown Road told police she said a suspicious man entering her house on March 13. She is renting the house and talked to the landlord but was suspicious of his explanation. Police followed up with the landlord, who said the man was a carpenter who did work on his properties. The landlord said on that day the carpenter went to the wrong house. He assured police the carpenter did not have keys to the Frenchtown house. Friday, March 15 11:31 a.m. – A Newcastle Street woman told police she and her husband had their joint tax return rejected because the IRS said her Social Security number had been used on another person's return. The IRS told her to file a police report for identity fraud. Saturday, March 16 10:49 and 11:36 a.m. – Police checked out reports of unregistered cars, first one parked next to a house on Union Street. That car, a VW bug, was partly dismantled and there were no plates on the it, making it in violation of EG town ordinance. The second car was parked on a property on Kenyon Avenue. Monday, March 4 1:34 p.m. – A Marlborough Street man told police he’d gotten a phone call from a man who said he’d won $1.5 million and a new Mercedes. The man, who spoke “broken English,” according to the report, then asked for $1,500 and the name of the Marlborough Street resident’s bank. Friday, Feb. 22 1:11 a.m. – Police arrested Chelsea Colaluca, 23, of Trout Brook Lane in Hope, for driving with an expired license after she was pulled over for speeding on Division Street. Routine checks showed her license had expired Jan. 16. She was cited for going 56 mph in a 25 mph zone and for the license violation. A friend showed up to drive her car from the scene. 9:43 p.m. – Police stopped a 87-year-old West Warwick man after reports of erratic driving on South County Trail. Routine checks showed the car registration was expired so police seized the plates and had the car towed. The man was given a summons and police drove him home. Sunday, Feb. 17 3:50 a.m. – Police had two cars towed from the rear lot at Town Hall. There is no overnight parking allowed in the lot and there was also a parking ban in effect because of snow. 11:46 a.m. – A town plow truck driver struck a light pole while clearing snow on Old Farm Road, knocking it down. 6:28 p.m. – A woman told police a man taking her and her daughter to look at an apartment in Coventry tried to kiss her and grab her leg. When they stopped at the McDonald’s on New London Turnpike, she said he grabbed her daughter’s jacket to keep them in the car. Monday, Jan. 28 9:12 a.m. – A school bus driver reported smoke in his bus on Post Road. He said the front of the bus started smoking and the smoke became so thick he was not able to see so he stopped the bus in the righthand travel lane. A bus following stopped to pick up the children from the first bus. EG Fire arrived and dealt with the puddle of engine fluid that had leaked out. A company was called to tow the bus and another company was called to finish clean up at the site. 10:35 a.m. – A King Street resident was cited for driving with a suspended registration after he was pulled over on Castle Street because his brake lights were not working. Thursday, Jan. 24 5:06 p.m. – Police arrested Christopher Jackson, 25, of Blodgett Avenue in Pawtucket, for possessing marijuana after he was stopped after pulling out of the Taste of China parking lot on Main Street. His car had no inspection sticker and dark tinted windows. While talking to Jackson, police smelled the odor of marijuana and asked him if there was anything in the car they should be aware of. He admitted to having been smoking marijuana and said there was some in the glove compartment. Police found several bags containing what later tested positive for marijuana in the glove compartment as well as a small glass jar with more of the same in the trunk.
