The man and woman who performed CPR on the pregnant Sullynette Sanchez are Peter Bellone of New Jersey and his daughter Amanda Bellone.
Rhode Island State Police are looking for a pair of good Samaritans who gave CPR to 23-year-old Sullynette Sanchez on Friday, Sept. 28, after an accident on Route 4 in East Greenwich. Sanchez later died at Kent Hospital. She had been 7 months pregnant at the time of the accident. Her baby – a boy – was delivered at Kent Hospital and transferred to the intensive care unit at Women and Infants. According to social media reports, he is stable. “If they were there that quick, before first responders,” said State Police Captain Frank Castellone according to a story on WPRI.com. “We would be interested in interviewing them to see if they witnessed anything prior to witnessing the crash." State Police tell the Providence Journal one of the drivers may have been reaching for something on the floor at the time of the accident.
The accident on Route 4 in East Greenwich Friday afternoon that resulted in the death of 23-year-old Sullynette Sanchez and the premature birth of her baby may have been caused by a driver who was distracted, State Police said Sunday. According to a story in the Providence Journal, one of the drivers in the three-car accident may have been distracted by a wallet that had fallen to the floor before he rear-ended Sanchez's car. State Police Lt. Douglas Newberg said that the driver, who had not yet made a formal statement to police, mentioned that to paramedics. His vehicle crashed into a car driven by Sanchez, who had slowed or come to a stop on Route 4 north just south of the Frenchtown Road overpass (Route 403) at around 4 p.m. Friday. …

Sullynette Sanchez was 9 months pregnant; her baby was delivered and taken to Women and Infants.
A Providence woman was killed in a three-car accident on Route 4 north, just south of the Route 403 (Frenchtown Road) overpass Friday at around 4 p.m., according to state police. The woman, Sullynette Sanchez, 23, of Providence, was 9 months pregnant. She was pronounced dead at Kent County Hospital. Her baby was delivered there and taken to Women and Infants, according to State Police Lieutenant Michael Gill. There is no word from Women and Infants on the status of the newborn. According to EG Fire Chief Peter Henrikson, the rescue call came in at 4 p.m. When the rescue arrived at the scene at 4:06, a bystander was performing CPR on the Sanchez.
