In a move that took many by surprise, Meadowbrook Farms Principal Ron Areglado resigned his job Monday, effective immediately, citing health concerns. Supt. Victor Mercurio told School Committee members during a meeting Tuesday night that he is talking to a few people about filling the post in the interim. "This abrupt decision is one that I had not anticipated having to make," Areglado wrote in a letter to the Meadowbrook community. "But due to personal circumstances related to my health, my personal physician, my loving family and I have determined this course of action is necessary."
