Susan J. Godin-Day, 51, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012. She was the mother of Sydney Day of Warwick. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Joseph E. and Frances G. (Zegarzewski) Godin. Susan Day was an award-winning artist whose works had received recognition on the national level from prestigious institutions such as Brown University. Her work encompasses many mediums in both two and three dimensions. Studies were pursued at the University of Massachusetts, where she graduated suma cum laude and received the esteemed Book Award for her work in the fine arts as well as the Golden Key.
