Happy March! Teen Center: The Teen Center has provided a great place to hang out on Friday evenings for decades now. They meet at the gym at Eldredge School but you don’t have to play basketball to enjoy the camaraderie. No traffic will be able to pass because of the vertical trench sheeting that will be in the road. This construction is to replace the 90-year-old sewer main from the bottom of King Street to the Waste Water Treatment Facility. Christmas Tree disposal this week: The Town of East Greenwich will be picking up Christmas Trees (stripped of decorations and NOT in plastic bags) the week of Jan. 7, on your regular trash pickup day. Starry Night Party! Students in the EGHS physics classes will be hosting a “Star Party” on the fields next to the high school. Activities will include viewing objects through our telescopes, a Star Walk tour on the iPad, and activities for children. We will be featuring our 10-inch Dobsonian Reflector and 11-Inch CPC Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes purchased through the EGEF. The Geminids Meteor shower will be visible late in the evening.
