The storytellers are Andrew Paul Maksymowicz, Janice Michaela Wray, Dana Wronski, Bethany Warburton, and Betty Who. At the EG United Methodist Church at 8 p.m. Doors open at 7:30. The East Greenwich Boy's Home Association is having Chicken Dinner at the Veteran Memorial Firemen's Hall on Sunday from 5:30-7PM. Come and enjoy barbeque and roast chicken, baked potato, fresh tossed salad, and homemade desserts, all for $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Five Things: House Committee Vote On EG Fire District Bill

House panel to vote on EGFD bill: The R.I. House Committee on Municipal Affairs is scheduled to vote on legislation to merge the East Greenwich Fire District with the Town of East Greenwich. Approval will move the bill to the full House for a vote. It’s to take place “at the rise of the House,” – in other words, sometime after 4 p.m. Room 203 of the State House. Fire District meeting: On the agenda is discussion and possible vote on the purchase and sales of the property at Cedar Avenue and Post Road, as well as the possible abatement of taxes for Stanley Bostitch on its South County Trail. ‘Living Room’ Makes Home In EG

The debut evening, this Thursday, Nov. 15, at the Kentish Guard Armory, features five people telling their stories.

East Greenwich has restaurants galore, the Odeum is reopening soon, and now we have The Living Room, a storytelling series that debuts this Thursday at the Kentish Guard Armory on Peirce Street. These are not children’s stories. These are personal stories told in a performance setting a la This American Life radio show, the Moth in NYC, and Providence’s own Live Bait. That’s right, big city stuff right here in East Greenwich. It’s the brainchild of Deb Walsh, who for years has been envisioning meaningful ways to bring people together. “There aren’t really many spaces where people can connect one-on-one,” said Walsh in a recent interview. “I want people to feel connected again.” Walsh said it’s especially important these days, where the …
