Starry Night Party! Students in the EGHS physics classes will be hosting a “Star Party” on the fields next to the high school. Activities will include viewing objects through our telescopes, a Star Walk tour on the iPad, and activities for children. We will be featuring our 10-inch Dobsonian Reflector and 11-Inch CPC Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes purchased through the EGEF. The Geminids Meteor shower will be visible late in the evening. It was a night of art, dance, music and food on Main Street Thursday.
Under blue skies and mild temperatures, people came to see the artwork, try samples of food from local restaurants, and listen to music as they strolled the street and checked out local stores. It wasn't just locals who turned out. "We just fell into it," said Suzanne Cohen from West Hartford, Conn. "We love East Greenwich!" Suzanne and her husband Alan had just dined in downtown East Greenwich. The Wysor family from Pawtuxet Village were there too.
