Bus Frustrations Continue; School Officials Work To Improve Situation

Parents frustrated with bus issues three days into the school year

Bus delays, new bus stops and crowded buses - all are issues that have come up since the start of school Tuesday. School officials are working with Ocean State Transit, according to Supt. Victor Mercurio, but parents are frustrated. Meadowbrook students were running 40 minutes behind scheduled drop off times on Wednesday. Dr. Ron Areglado, principal of Meadowbrook, said that since his school ends later than most of the others, if there's a backup, it's going to affect Meadowbrook students. "It's a work in progress," stated Dr. A. His goal is to make sure every child is on the correct bus, even if that causes a little delay in the scheduled times.
