EG Cox Email Users Express Frustration

Cox Phone Lines Down For Many In R.I.

Business users throughout the state and into the midwest are affected by the outage.

Cox Communications customers are experiencing phone outages Tuesday across the state. According to Dana Nolfe of Cox, many Cox Business VoiceManager customers across Rhode Island are without phone service. Cox crews are working to restore service. At this time, it is unknown how many customers are without phone service due to the outage, although there are reports the outage has reached as far as Cleveland and Oklahoma City. If you have Cox and are either with or without service, let us know in the comments section below.

The first email came last week: "Something happened to my Patch account since I'm not receiving the daily Newsletter via e-mail anymore.  My e-mail is [xxxxx@xxx.xxx].  Could you or someone check this out for me?  Thanks!!" Since then, we've heard the same from a few others. According to our tech support team at Patch, Cox.net is not delivering Patch mail at the moment, but we're working to correct that. If you are using Cox.net and have stopped receiving the daily email, try contacting their tech support (testie@cox.net) and put your cox email address in the subject line. If you use another internet provider and have the same problem, please send me an email (elizabeth.mcnamara@patch.com) and I'll look into it. One other suggestion from …
