Meadowbrook Family Fun Run

Students and parents came out on a beautiful day for some exercise and fun.

Beautiful weather, music for inspiration, and enthusiastic kids could be found at EGHS on Sunday. The wellness events continue for Meadowbrook Elementary School in East Greenwich. First the school sponsored the "Walk to School" event held earlier this year, and now students and parents came out to participate in the Family Fun Run at the EGHS track.   Students ran in heats of about five to six kids. They started with kindergarten and continued through third grade, with about five heats per grade level. Students ran one lap of the high school track for the race. Too Darn Hot: We were complaining that it was too cold and now this - the fast track to dog days. It will be in the mid-90s today, with plenty of humidity.
